After time in the sun, the cyanotype paper began to become more grey and thats when we knew the images had been transferred. We had to take the acetates off the paper and then quickly take the cyanotype down to the sea to be washed. This had to be done quickly otherwise the sun would effect the paper and the images would be altered.

The images were then laid out to dry allowing you to see the image. We placed smaller A4 images we had previously made around the beach and left the large ones laid out on the ground, allowing people to view what we had made. The images all came out well and the sun effectively transferred the images onto the light sensitive paper. We created cyanotypes because they had been used in an exhibition at the Brighton Photo Biennial and this was a good opportunity to experiment with them.
